NaNoWriMo 2009 – Day 3

Day 3 stats:

Min. Daily Average Word Count: 1,667

Word Count Goal: 2,000

Actual Word Count: 1,076

Daily Word Count Score (words in excess of min daily average): -924

Total Word Count Score: 6,247

Chapters complete: 3

Still ahead in total word count, but losing steam in keeping my comfortable lead. Really hit a wall yesterday trying to sort out chapters 2 and 3. Fell into the trap of editing and monkeying with previously written pieces. Decided to leave the first three chapters as they are and get Mia moving straight into act two (where she’s in Korihana and truly beginning her quest for revenge). Lesson learned: don’t look back, it’s a trap!

No particular axe to grind or agenda to sell, just my observations after watching this space for a few years. Buckle up, this […]
