Had my first “what the heck did I get myself into?” thought today. Ignored it. It finally went away.

Keeping a list of rewrite notes (reminders to tie certain things together, go back and foreshadow certain things, etc.) is greatly helping me continue moving forward without revisiting previous writings. Hoping it will speed up both the original draft and the rewrite process.

Finally found some momentum in the plot, and new ideas are bubbling up from the draft. New characters, new sub-plots, new approaches to building out the world by bringing the established Gallidon mythos more deeply into the Mia storyline. It’s the first time I’ve felt like my writing had a life of its own, independent of my constant pulling, dragging, coercing, and threatening as an author. Very exciting.
