Interviewed (again!) by Transmedia Talk

One of the highlights of my adventures at SXSW 2012 was sitting down with Robert Pratten, Haley Moore, and Dee Cook, the hosts of WorkBook Project’s ‘Transmedia Talk‘ podcast. We talk about the motivation of fan participation and the state of the shared story world nation!

Panelist at NALIP Conference

I had the pleasure of joining Hardie Tankerlsey and Jesus Trevino on the “Social Life of Convergence” panel for the NALIP 2012 Conference. David James did an excellent job of moderating the panel and led us through a lively discussion ranging from copyright infringement to participatory entertainment to the future of digital media.

SXSW Panel: “The Rise of Co-created Storyworld Communities”

I was thrilled to be invited by Esther Lim to join her and J. Craig Williams at SXSW to discuss collaborative entertainment, multi-platform interactive engagement, and how to bridge creatives and audiences. SXSW 2012 Panel: Rise of Co-created Shared World Communities from Scott Walker

I keep hearing about everyone making money from self-publishing, and everywhere I go, someone’s trying to sell me their book.” “I see,” the doctor says, nodding. “So what seems to be the problem?” “Well, I figure if everyone’s writing a book, I should […]

Shared Story Worlds

A History and Future of Collaborative Storytelling

This is my (un)scientific, (non-)comprehensive, and (not at all) objective overview of the rise of collaborative storytelling: how we (more or less) got here, and where we may (kinda sorta) be heading. No particular axe to grind or agenda to sell, just my observations after watching this space for a few years. Buckle up, this […]
